Security Tools

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Security Tools is designed to keep sensitive utility work local whenever practical. This policy explains what information the service processes, what stays in your browser, and how subscription data is handled.

Local tool processing

Passwords, passphrases, password strength checks, entropy calculations, JWT decoding, and Base64 conversions run in your browser. Security Tools does not intentionally collect, transmit, or store generated passwords, pasted passwords, pasted JWTs, or Base64 input.

Account and subscription data

If you create an account or upgrade to Pro, we may store details such as your user ID, email address, Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and whether your account is Pro. This information is used to provide access to paid features, remove ads for Pro users, and help you manage your subscription.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Security Tools does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe may process billing details, payment method information, invoices, tax details, and subscription events according to Stripe's own policies and dashboard configuration.

Ads

The free version includes advertisement placements. Pro users get an ad-free experience. If third-party ad partners are used, this policy will describe the additional data processing before those ads are enabled.

Logs and security

Like most web services, hosting infrastructure may process technical logs such as request time, route, user agent, IP address, and error details. These logs are used for reliability, abuse prevention, debugging, and security monitoring. Do not paste sensitive production secrets unless you understand the risk.

Data retention

Subscription and account records are retained while needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local tool input is not intentionally stored by Security Tools.
